Review:
I saw the film at FrightFest in London a few days ago, and I'd definitely be pretty good to see something special - but in the end, I , I saw a movie that really outstanding. Brutal but beautiful, magical still modest, it has an incredible cast, with outstanding performances all round.A special mention must go to Sergi Lopez, Captain Vidal is one of the film sadist creations seen. But he managed to make the audience understand why she is the way she ... impressive performance. Maribel Verdus quiet family, but Rebel is one of the most powerful women role I've seen in many years, and he was supported by the multi-talented. Young Ivana Baquero is surprisingly self-assured as Ofelia 12 years, and I especially love about Alice as she approaches the magical creatures he has encountered in the maze. The icing on the wrong tale is Doug Jones, who gives a terrific performance - and in this case literally and figuratively - as guardian of the labyrinth, full of grace and beauty Faun and the latent threat. Although called, it is the perfect Spanish (Jones did not speak a word of the language), and his physical presence is very strong, as his character teases, cajoles and Harries Ophelia to fulfill his duties. He also plays a bored man terribly pale and disgusting - like creatures habits. But Vidal in his terrorist actor is just one aspect of this glorious picture film, with Javier Navarretes hauntingly simple result pëlhurëne woven itself into the perfect film editing and writing. After the Spanish Civil War atrocities different from the magic world that Ofelia is taken, but wherever he goes he has a choice to make. In fact, this film is about choices, good and bad, and finds that no matter what it is, not h t is always a choice - even if that choice could mean death. The film is violent - very violent, but every time violence, although graphic, have a purpose
