Of course, this film had a ton of hype and what film can live up to all that .... yada yada yada. Even if we admit that this film is a kind of disappointment. This film proves that not only the special effects that Star Wars made to look fun. It was as if George Lucas was so excited about what he could do with CGI effects, he forgot what made the original trilogy so great that the letters and symbols. Not a bad movie, but the problem many.-Many people have forgiven this film are gray, as they say, is just to follow. First in a trilogy, and it's just creating all Error error error this film was to his own film mainly film and the other three were his. It is necessary to have good characters and some interesting history .... The didnt. conflict in the story revolves around a trade dispute and the fate of the planet Naboo. Was anyone really care? Details of the dispute vague and it shows no real generate enough interest for us to root for a particular party. A major conflict over Darth Sideous and its growth remains far, far away in the background. We do not even know why Darth Maul hate Jedis so .... it just does. Maybe Lucas wanted Darth Maul to something like Boba Fett (quiet and mysterious.) He worked with Boba Fett, because he was only a supporting character, not the main villain. This movie actually has no clear villain. I wish someone would have the courage and just told Luke that his main story was lousy.-one looks particularly happy to have this movie. Qui-Gon is actually the only character that can be associated with, and even he is pretty far away. The Queen acts as a fashion model in most of her scenes (and looks like one). Obi-Wan Kenobi is haunting the entire movie in vain and never says anything interesting. The characters never seem to talk about anything except the plot (unlike the first film). C3PO and R2-D2 were pretty pointless. The Jedi Council is seen as a very cold and buracratic. And I will never understand why they wrote Annakin as a grade schooler in this film. He was a teenager. His scenes with the queen were awkward. Not even going to discuss other ... Jar Jar.Various-midochlorians case seems just wearing a seat. Humor falls flat, unless you are very young child. Annakin trade destroys the ship and at the end of each safves, usually by accident! ILM and George Lucas seems so happy with their new toys CGI, they spent 95% of their time perfecting them. Frankly, I thought the FX Return of the Jedi were sharper dimensional and less cartoonish. Many of all that memorable, does not seem to happen here. This film is not as good as the hype, but it could easily be much better than his. I've waited so long for this film, but the first time I saw this movie I really get bored in the middle of it.There good points. Pod race was fun, just like the lightsaber battle at the end. There are some very good special effects throughout. Lucas only hope that the writers block when he wrote it. Maybe he will remember what he did other films are so good in time for Episode II. Although he seems to be the name to have already spoiled.
