Review:
If mom hit theaters in 1999 moved critics everywhere so poor mans Indiana Jones. Although the two films are about as similar as Dr. No's GoldenEye (thankfully), I think the comparisons with one of the non-stop adventure film, etc. inevitable. In the end, what really counts in determining the quality films that can entertain. And if there's one thing Mom did great, it was entertainment. Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz and Arnold Vosloo was very well chosen for their roles.The Mummy Returns is easy to see that the second sequel churned out to satiate the greedy money machine , Hollywood has changed, but there are some things work for it. One thing that is immediately clear that a sequel is very much for the film, which can be enjoyed without ever having seen the original. The only references to the previous film has been made to fill the gaps in the story of Imhotep who is and why he is who he is. Additionally Scorpion King was an interesting attempt to give the film a new antagonist, but the lack of Screentime has not worked Väli favor of keys. Another key, what could have been a better rivalry had developed Imhotep girlfriend and what his name was. Imhotep was originally supposed Weiszs Rachel's character is his girlfriend reincarnated to use the woman who looks just like her by creating this new tangent differently.Most people need to develop a habit of interesting keys complicated story and want to know if the movie is fun. And it's fun, is not it. There is hardly a dull moment in the movies, and Oded Fehr important to run the length does a bang-up job on Mad-Max-cum-hero Indiana Jones. I want to know where they get those cool costumes and tattoos, they look pretty nice. Anyway, when all is said and done, this is the film for eight out of ten. Some poorly constructed story details here and there, but some really fun action sequences make up for them. Do not listen to nay-sayers. This is a matinee-style material, and (almost) the best. Get the DVD when it comes out, it will at least tide you over until George Lucas gets his head out of his famous and understand that VHS era is properly over.
