Review:
There are very few works of 20th century American literature, which can be called essential to our understanding of our culture. And one of those little Jack on the road Kerouacs. As we all know, thinly-disguised account of his autobiographical of Kerouac and his friends in their meaningless, but exuberant adventure across America. Within 50 years, he was expected to be made into a movie. Now, in last. So, everyone already knows the story? Well, no, most of all, if you're like me, you've read the book, and still remember almost nothing from history. Book burning through his storyline pieces, as if they had just been rubbed Blaze to fuel its power truly a walk, even with all its redundancy. His impulse that draws us into the chaos of wind Kerouacs world. We are moving away impressed by the energy, not content.Film possible, of course, is used to amplify this effect, but it does not t is film. Instead, we have a more conventional approach, focusing on character development. Its production of a good, with an attractive cast. But the story goes, we are very different from the experience of the book. The manuscript was copied to create more room for maneuver and objectivity. We see, Sal Paradise, only half-formed at the beginning, to pull himself together to become a serious writer. We see endless abundance Dean Moriarty eventually came into conflict with progressive self-destruction because of her immorality and suffering. It can be read only by the final Kerouacs feelings about this part of his life, but he was not feeling that Kerouac shares with us the LIBE , r. We have lost our innocence, our last chance to get back in, even for a few hours, was taken away.Im there will rage against the re-conception of history, however, because it makes other changes from the book, which can be improvements. Some scenes were censored from the book will be restored in the film. (Some discussion of this in http://www.univie.ac.at/Anglistik/easyrider/data/BeatEros.htm). Thus, the film is historically accurate, and much more sexy than a book. (This may also explain its stable release USA). In a bitter scene, Carlos Marx (Allen Ginsberg) Sal whines about how he felt threatened because of his bad back the love of Dean. As I recall, there was talk in the book (please tell me if you think otherwise), but it has been in a private letter from Kerouac to Ginsberg, many years after the fact. This kind of thing emotional changes the course of the story, of course, but it adds depth, too.Few of us actually suffer from nostalgia for the gritty beats overindulgences. But remember, this happened at a time when society was fully saturated with the message that everything should be fine, safe, predictable. Beats Without a small minority of attacking the message, and, in particular, on the way to chronicle the attack, the cultural revolution of the 1960s would have been even more , harder than it was, and probably less effective. Good, bad or ugly, we have to put up with this story.
