With many opportunities to change the weight of the hand and whiny, Any Day Now surprisingly authentic without jerking tears of men aged 15 years Down Syndrome-rescued from the institution by several men. This movie is not on sentiment but rather on the weak judicial system 1979 may deny detainees just because the parents gay.Rudy (Allan Cumming) is a transsexual, who want to care for a neighbor boy, Marco (Isaac Leyva), abandoned by druggie mother. Paul (Garret Dillahunt), assistant district attorney, came out to Rudy and fell in love with her. Both men loves Marco, but they struggled to convince the court that because homosexual couples, it is not necessary is denied custody.It 70s after all, and that gay and transgender can be a real obstacle to the government. For the credit of the film, even the hard-hearted judge can have moments of sympathy. Smaller players like prosecutors beyond stereotypes, ending conflicting expectations, a real plus for a movie that can follow the play book tears and audience favorite at Tribeca Film fests happiness.An and Chicago and winner of the Golden Space Needle award in Seattle, Any Day Now, inspired by actual events, providing honest conflict with honest conclusion.
